Flutter Developer
This is a full-time, remote role with a salary up to $105,000 per year, open to candidates in any location. The team ships mobile apps from a single Flutter codebase rather than maintaining separate iOS and Android builds.
Day-to-day work
- Build cross-platform mobile applications from a single Flutter codebase
- Integrate app features with backend APIs, handling the inevitable mismatches between what the API returns and what the UI expects
- Optimize performance across both iOS and Android, since the same widget tree can behave differently depending on the device
Who fits
A bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field is the minimum educational requirement here. Candidates should bring 18 months of experience and a portfolio of cross-platform apps actually built with Flutter, not just studied in a course. Dart proficiency is expected on arrival, not something to pick up on the job.
Skills
- Dart
- Flutter framework
- Mobile UI design that accounts for platform-specific conventions
- REST APIs
- State management, whether that's Provider, Riverpod, or Bloc
- Git
Would help, not required
- Experience taking an app through App Store or Play Store review and release
- Some work with native platform channels in Swift or Kotlin
- Familiarity with a mobile CI/CD tool like Codemagic or Fastlane
Team notes
Naukri Mitra handles the initial screening round before candidates speak directly with the engineering lead. A recent release was flagged during App Store review for a permissions dialog that didn't clearly explain why the app needed camera access, and the fix required rewriting the in-app copy and resubmitting, which took about 4 days. Store review timelines like that are part of the job on the mobile side, and they factor into how release schedules get planned.
Compensation and benefits
Base pay reaches $105,000 annually, which holds up well against Flutter developer remote salary figures for someone at 18 months of experience.
- Health coverage
- Paid time off
- Remote-work flexibility
- Life and disability insurance
Applying
Send a resume along with links to one or two apps you've built or shipped, App Store or Play Store links included if available. A quick note on which parts were your work versus a team effort helps the review move faster. Most candidates hear back within a week or so.
